Janice Beverly Layne, 78, of Gladys, passed away at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital on Friday, November 1, 2024. She was the widow of the late Carl Michael Layne. Janice was born in Lynchburg on December 27, 1945, a daughter of the late Allen Doyle Beverly and the late Thelma Yeates Beverly. She attended Brookneal Baptist Church. She is survived by her children, Janet Tolliver of Lynchburg, Allen Parrish, Melody Pool, both of Gladys and LaShawn Wright of Brookneal; nine grandchildren: Bronson Tolliver, Daniel Dalton, Beth Dalton, Josh Dalton, Samantha Pool, Jodi Pool, River Wright, Hunter Wright and Lily Wright; and three sisters: Susan Revis, Sharon Seigla and Cathy Neal. She was preceded in death by a son, George Franklin Dalton, Jr. A funeral service will be conducted by Rev. Andrew Reisberg on Monday, November 4, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the Henderson Funeral Home Chapel.
