John Thomas Adkins, 57, of Brookneal passed away peacefully at home Monday, November 3, 2025. Born in Lynchburg on December 19, 1967, he was the son of the late Oscar Clyde Adkins and Nancy Bowles Adkins. John retired from Capital City Leasing where he worked as a mechanic and technician. He was a member of Yellow Branch Baptist Church. John is survived by a son, Daniel Adkins (Lauren) of Bedford; three granddaughters, Jayden Gross, Kylie Adkins, and Arrianna Adkins; a sister, Donna Viar (Pete) of Rustburg and a number of nieces and nephews.
