Karen Clowdis Dillard, 72, of Phenix, passed away at home, Wednesday, May 1, 2024. She was the wife of the late Marvin Lee Dillard. Karen was born in Lynchburg on November 1, 1951, daughter of the late Hugh Baylor Clowdis and the late Mary Katherine Clowdis. Karen was a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church and was a Registered Nurse. She is survived by one son: Brian Ragland (Brandy) of Phenix; four grandchildren: Angel Ragland, Hanna, Haley and Hunter Lane; and one brother: Blair Clowdis (Barbara) of Randleman, N.C. A funeral service will be conducted by the Rev. Mike Teixeira at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 5, 2024 at Mt. Carmel UMC. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
