Lois Juanita Burton Marshall, a loving mother and grandmother, 86, of Brookneal passed away Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Guggenheimer Nursing Home in Lynchburg. She was the wife of the late John Marshall Jr. Mrs. Marshall was born in Campbell County, July 26, 1930 daughter of the late Charles Willis Burton and Irene Clark Burton. She is survived by three daughters, Carolyn M. Eagle (Bill) of Richmond, Doris “Tina” M. Davis (Mitchell) of Pamplin, and Shirley M. Gilliland (Carroll) of Rustburg; four grandchildren, Tanya Martin (Dave) of Richmond, Stacey D. Williams (Danny) of Pamplin, Kevin M. Davis (Nicole) of Greenville, N.C., Ashley N. Gilliland (Jeremy Womble) of Rustburg; five great-grandchildren, Zach Williams, Noah Williams, Makayla Womble, Lucas Davis, Lauren Martin; two brothers, Nolan P. Burton (Pat), Charles W. Burton (Kathy) all of Forest. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Claudia Gilliland; and a brother, Stanford M. Burton. A graveside service will be conducted at 11a.m. Monday, February 13, 2017 in Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Rusty Small. The family will receive friends from 3 until 5 p.m. Sunday, February 12, 2017 at Henderson Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Brookneal and at the residence of Tina and Mitchell Davis other times.
