I began working for Lynchburg College in 1981 and met Lois in my first few days. I continued to have regular contact with her over the next 20 years. Lois was a lovely person in every way. She was friendly, intelligent, professional and hard-working. I considered her a model colleague. When I received her annual Christmas card this year I wondered how old she was and wished that she would be sending me cards for many years to come. I know that all who knew her loved her and are grieving her departure from this life. Constantine Roussos

Lois was my friend from Beulah Baptist Church. She always had a sweet smile and a warm welcome that made you feel special. I've missed seeing her recently but I'm thankful we'll both be spending eternity in heaven. My condolence to her family and friends.

I will miss my dear friend and cousin. We graduated together at Brookville High School. She was a smart, energetic and caring person. I haven't seen her since Covid, 2 yrs. ago, but I will miss her e-mails and occasional phone calls. She sent me a picture she took of Harvey and I at our class reunion at Charley's Restaurant in a Christmas card last month and I called her thanking her for it and we had a nice visit on the phone. I know how much she liked to eat at Charley's Restaurant, but she didn't want me to pick her up for lunch one day, as she said she had arthritis so bad that she had trouble going anywhere. Her death was a shock to me and others I am sure. I pray God will give each of you the strength, comfort and encouragement you need during this difficult time. My love & prayers, Joyce Clowdis Elder

To family of Lois: my condolences to the family and I will be thinking of you on Saturday. I met Lois in 1981 and I was fortunate to be able to share lunch with her monthly for many years. I know she will be missed by all of her LC/UL faculty group and her memory will remain with us for many years to come. Love and prayers to all of you. Dr. Linda Andrews, Nursing
