Louise Woosley Bomar, 88, of Nathalie passed away Thursday, April 27, 2023, at Heritage Hall Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Norman Bennie Bomar. Louise was born in Halifax County on November 5, 1934, daughter of the late Woodrow Wilson Woosley and the late Frances Cook Woosley. Louise was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church. She retired as a supervisor from Bassett-Walker. She is survived by two sons Norman Keith Bomar (Mary), and Mark E. Bomar (Dena) all of Nathalie; a daughter Terry Bomar Clark (Earnest) of Rustburg; four grandchildren: Jared Bomar (Brittany) of Rustburg, Matthew Clark of Lynchburg, Alex Clark of Pittsburgh, Jonathan Bomar (Wendy) of Gladys; eight great-grandchildren: Brealyn, Lilly, Kaydrean, Rose, Bennie, Sawyer & Lela; and two sisters: Carolyn Morris and Joannie Enoch of Brookneal. She was preceded in death by two sisters Faye Lloyd and Betty Bomar and three brothers Lennie, Harold, and Larry Woosley. A graveside service will be conducted by Pastor W. L. Pillow on Monday, May 1, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Thomas Congregational Church Cemetery (Clarkton Community). The family will receive friends and family at the home of Keith and Mary Bomar at other times. Memorial contributions may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association or the charity of your choice.
