Marlene Yvonne Carwile, 82, of Gladys passed away Sunday, May 16, 2021 at Heritage Hall Nursing Home. Ms. Carwile was born in Campbell County, January 23, 1939 daughter of the late John Harvey Carwile and Wadie Almond Carwile. She was a member of Kedron Baptist Church, an associate member of Sharon United Methodist Church and a retired employee of the City of Lynchburg. She is survived by several cousins, Joyce Brown of Shipman, Agnes Dickerson of Harrisonburg, Dr. E. Roger Trent of Columbus, Ohio, Iris Keys of Gladys, Sharon Trent Roberson of Columbus, Ohio and Rachel Clark of Gladys. A graveside service will be conducted at ll:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at Kedron Baptist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Shelton Miles and the Rev. Jim Keys. Memorial contributions may be made to Heritage Hall Patient Aid, 633 Cook Avenue, Brookneal, VA 24528 in memory of Marlene.
