Nancy Durham Birtell, 77, of Rustburg, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, February 1, 2025. She was the wife of the late Edward J. Birtell, Sr. Nancy was born in Mt. Holly, N. J. on October 17, 1947, a daughter of the late James Henry Durham and the late Anna Elizabeth Loveman Durham. She retired from Walmart. She is survived by three sons, Edward J. Birtell, Jr. (Danielle), Scotty J. Birtell (Christina), Daniel C. Birtell (Leeann); one daughter, Tammy L. Birtell; grandchildren, Shelby Holley, Casey Birtell, Steven Birtell, Madison Birtell, Taylor Birtell, Dontae Wecker, Mason Birtell, Rebeka Birtell, Dustin Birtell, Adalind Birtell, Wyatt Birtell; great grandchildren, Gracie Holley, Emma Holley, Riley Birtell, Ella Birtell, Willow Birtell, Mason H. Birtell, Giana Soto and Giovon Soto. She was preceded in death by a son Howard A. Birtell; four brothers, Charles Duncan, William Durham, James Durham, Robert Durham; three sisters Anna Severs, Doris Wills and Loretta Hatch.
