We loved Phyllis! She was a true “Southern Lady” through and through, whether it was cooking, kindness or caring. We think of her each time we see a worship banner she helped design and paint for Mountain View. We were so blessed by her friendship when she lived in the Forest area. Our condolences to her family. Dear Nan, Greg and Al: your beautiful mother was always a part of the fabric woven into our lives as children, whether we saw her in Brookneal, Danville or Greensboro. She adored and was adored by my grandma, Bessie Abbott Crafton, sister to your precious grandma, Edith Abbott Guthrie. When Phyllis was around everything would be alright. It meant the world to our family when she came for our parents' memorial services. Praying for you now peace and a flood of joyful memories to sustain you until you meet her again in Heaven. Sorry for your loss, such a sweet lady, use to load all us kids up and take us to Bible School every year, had some of the best times there and visiting her house. Love and Prayers
