I just found out that Phyllis Campbell, former mayor of Brookneal, passed away. I knew Phyllis when we set up the CVCC Brookneal Center near the town library. She was just a joy to work with, always uplifting, and always on the move doing positive things for the Town. I enjoyed talking to her every time I saw her whether in Brookneal or when she came to our town Altavista. I know she will be missed and I feel honored to have known her. She was someone who left her mark in Brookneal and we are indeed fortunate to have had her in our lives. My condolences to her beautiful family and I hope you will continue her tradition of kindness and getting things done for the community. May she RIP.

I remember when Dr. Campbell and Phyllis came to Brookneal. He was my doctor and my husband's doctor until he retired. My husband, Harvey, loved to golf and he enjoyed golfing with Dr. Jack many years. I have always admired Phyllis and her dedication to the Brookneal Medical Center and the town of Brookneal and Vaneta,s work at Brookneal Medical Center, also. I pray God will give you the strength, comfort and encouragement you need during this difficult time.
