Obituaries

Reva Pollard Nichols, 90, of Brookneal, passed away at Autumn Care of Altavista on Thursday, January 2, 2025. Reva was born in Campbell County on November 14, 1934, a daughter of the late Warner Pollard and the late Lorena Mason Pollard. She attended Falling River Baptist Church and was a caregiver. She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Wright Martin of Brookneal; a son, Ricky Nichols (Terry Wade) of Brookneal; grandson-in-law, Rodney Miller of Hayes; great-granddaughter, Reese Miller of Hayes; great-grandson, Ross Singleton (Taylor) of Nathalie; great great-grandson, Carter Singleton; sister-in-law, Bessie Pollard of Brookneal. Reva was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Nichols; a brother William “Billy” Pollard; two sisters, Dorothy Breedlove and Avis Foster; a son-in-law, Gerald Martin and a granddaughter, Heidi Sowell Miller. A memorial service will be conducted by Rev. Matthew Killmon on Friday, January 10, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in the Henderson Funeral Home Chapel.
