Obituaries

Ronnie Ralph Sanders, 70, of Brookneal passed away Thursday, May 28, 2015 in Lynchburg. He was the husband of Dolores Evans Sanders. Mr. Sanders was born in Tazwell County, January 25, 1945 son of the late James Leonard Sanders and Mamie Cordle Sanders. He was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church, a U.S. Air Force veteran and a retired employee of Westminster-Canterbury. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Deronda S. Walsh (Rick) of Woodbridge, Lynn M. Sanders of Brookneal; two grandchildren, Preston and Alexander Walsh of Woodbridge; one brother, Jack Sanders of Madison Heights; one sister, Jeanette Houston of Lynchburg; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, James Sanders, Dennis Sanders; two sisters, Shirley Hines, Lois Beddingfield. A Funeral Mass of Christian burial will be held at 12:00 pm Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Lynchburg by the Rev. Msgr. Michael McCarron. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until Noon prior to the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to your favorite charity.
