Sue Dickerson Tucker, 88, of Nathalie, passed away at Heritage Green Assisted Living in Lynchburg on Saturday, May 24, 2025. She was the wife of the late William Marvin Tucker. She was born in Campbell County, Virginia on July 13, 1936, the daughter of the late Leonard Gordan Dickerson and the late Elizabeth Austin Dickerson. Sue was a homemaker, tobacco farmer and a member of Clover Bottom Baptist Church. Sue was also a member of NHVFD Ladies Auxiliary and the North Halifax Quilters. She is survived by two sons, Michael M. Tucker (Dockie) of Nathalie and Ronnie L. Tucker (Carol) of Lynchburg; a son-in-law, David P. Fallen of Nathalie; a brother, Woody Dickerson of Brookneal; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Sue was preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy T. Fallen, two brothers and six sisters. Sue was an avid gardener and sewed many beautiful quilts for family and friends. Sue never met a stranger and loved laughing and joking. She will be sorely missed by those who knew her. A funeral service will be conducted by the Rev. Shelton Miles and Rev. Phillip Wright at Clover Bottom Baptist Church, Friday, May 30, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 29, 2025 at Henderson Funeral Home Chapel. Memorials may be made to the North Halifax Volunteer Fire Department.
