William Edward Eades, 87, of Gladys passed away Wednesday, July 31,2024 at Lynchburg Health and Rehab Center. William was born in Campbell County, July 20, 1937, a son of the late Luther William Eades and the late Frances Alma Rosser Eades. He was married to the late Louise Wilson Eades. He was the former manager of Altavista Mini Mart. He is survived by three children, William Thomas Eades (Pamela) of Evington, Edward Eugene Eades (Ginger) of Lynchburg, and Jo Anne Eades Phelps of Gladys; four grandchildren, Leathie Hahn (Austin), Justin Fisher (Kelsey), Taylor Ellington (Rusty), and Geoffrey Woody; a number of great-grandchildren and four brothers, James (Marie), Kenneth (Donna), Larry (Cynthia), and Randy (Carol) Eades. He was preceded in death by a sister, Edith Eades Krantz. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 5, 2024, at Kedron Baptist Church with Rev. Jacob Warren and Rev. Mike Dodson and a burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, August 4, 2024, at Henderson Funeral Home and Cremation Service. The family will receive friends other times at his home. Memorial contributions may be made to Kedron Baptist Church.
