Doris Francis Tuggle, 95, of Lynchburg, passed away Friday, July 19, 2024 at Autumn Care of AltaVista. She was the wife of the late Wallace T. Tuggle. Doris was born in Campbell County, March 1, 1929, a daughter of the late Hunter C. Francis and the late Marie Landis Francis. She was a member of Childrey Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She is survived by her son, Jeffrey T. Tuggle of Lynchburg; her daughter, Brenda Tuggle Walker (David) of Gladys; grandson, Steven D. Walker (Charity) of Nathalie; four great-grandchildren, Ericka, Aiden, Deuce and Kendra; and a brother Louis Francis of Lynchburg. She was preceded in death by six brothers and four sisters. A funeral will be conducted by Rev. Doug Morris and Rev. Jerry Stanfield at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at Childrey Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery.
